Ssms intellisense not updating

I installed SQL Server Management Studio 2014 on my Windows 10 client computer. Suppose I'm typing The moment I type the period, I expect Intelli Sense to list the available tables, as it always does.

At first, everything seemed to be going great, until I noticed that Intelli Sense is intermittent. So by intermittent I mean that sometimes I see the list of tables, and sometimes I don't.

For the purpose of this tip, we're going to restrict that to not behaving as designed, as opposed to not behaving as desired (for example, if you don't like that pressing the space bar or tab auto-completes for you, that's a different discussion).

I checked the obvious: Troubleshooting Intelli Sense (SQL Server Management Studio) reconfirmed what I already knew and didn't help. This is not a duplicate because while other forum posts list the above steps as "answers" they are not answers for me. I get the red squigglies if the table doesn't exist, but I have no flyout for object name completion. Our remote SQL Server was recently upgraded to 2014.In Management Studio 2012, there are some enhancements to Intelli Sense that will make it even more powerful - including more intelligent caching, and partial keyword matching (so you no longer have to remember what letter the waits DMV *starts* with - just type "waits" and it will narrow it down).I have seen several cases in forums, newsgroups and on twitter where folks complain that Intelli Sense is "not working." Now, "not working" can cover a wide variety of things.
